What is Gloor?
Gloor is a Swiss family-owned manufacturer of gas pressure-regulation and oxy-fuel equipment — gas welding, cutting, heating and soldering. The company was founded in 1935 in Burgdorf by the brothers Otto and Fritz Gloor, and its products are still developed, manufactured and assembled in Switzerland.
The programme covers cylinder and line pressure regulators, welding and cutting torches, heating and soldering equipment, cutting machines, hoses and couplings, safety equipment, cylinders and valves, central gas supply and a wide range of original spare parts. The company is now run by the second and third generations of the Gloor family.

Pressure regulation
Types of pressure regulator
A pressure regulator reduces the gas pressure from a cylinder or pipeline to a stable working pressure. The choice depends on the gas, the inlet pressure, the required working pressure or flow, and the connection.
Cylinder regulators
Connect directly to the cylinder valve and reduce the high pressure to working pressure. Design, connection and colour coding depend on the gas.
Line regulators
Installed in the pipeline after central reduction, they stabilise the pressure at the point of use.
Flow-meter regulators
For shielding gases (argon, CO2 and mixtures) in MIG/MAG and TIG welding; they display flow in l/min instead of working pressure.
Central systems
Switchover stations and equipment for central supply from several cylinders, with constant pressure in the network.

Cutting
Cutting torches and cutting machines with nozzles matched to the fuel gas — acetylene or propane — and to the cutting thickness.
Heating and soldering
Heating torches, soldering torches and soldering irons for soft and hard soldering; many applications use propane or butane, including the Hobbyflam programme for smaller jobs.
