Brand

What is Magmaweld?

Magmaweld is a Turkish manufacturer of welding consumables and equipment. The company was founded in 1957 in Istanbul as Oerlikon Kaynak Elektrodları ve Sanayi A.Ş., a licensee of the Swiss Oerlikon-Bührle group, and today manufactures under its own Magmaweld brand.

The programme covers covered electrodes, MIG/MAG and TIG wires, flux cored wires, submerged-arc wires and fluxes, hardfacing and brazing products, as well as MMA, TIG, MIG/MAG and SAW welding machines, generators and plasma cutting equipment. Since 1996 production has taken place in modern factories in Manisa, and the brand name arose as an analogy between MAGMA, the molten core of the Earth, and the weld pool.

Programme

The Magmaweld programme by category

The catalogue is organized into two programmes — welding consumables and welding equipment — with the following categories:

Welding consumables

Welding equipment

Consumables

Electrodes, wires and fluxes

Magmaweld consumables cover all major arc-welding processes. Every product in the catalogue lists classifications (AWS, EN ISO), chemical composition, mechanical properties and packaging data.

Covered electrodes

Rutile, basic, cellulosic and special electrodes for non-alloyed, low-alloyed and stainless steels, cast iron, nickel, copper and aluminium.

MIG/MAG and TIG wires

Solid wires for gas-shielded welding — from structural steels to stainless steels, aluminium and nickel alloys.

Flux cored wires

Cored wires for higher productivity and demanding applications, including wear-resistant hardfacing wires.

Subarc wires & fluxes

Wires and fluxes for submerged-arc welding in vessel, pipeline and steel-construction fabrication.

Equipment

Welding and cutting machines

Magmaweld machines are developed and produced in the company's own equipment factory. The programme covers MMA, TIG and MIG/MAG machines, SAW systems, generators and plasma cutting equipment, with torches and wear parts.

MMA machines

Inverter machines for stick welding, single-phase and three-phase.

TIG and MIG/MAG machines

From compact single-phase units to industrial pulse systems with water cooling.

Plasma cutting and SAW

Plasma cutting equipment plus submerged-arc machines and wear parts.

Standards

Classifications, approvals and certificates

Magmaweld products are classified to international standards such as AWS/ASME and EN ISO; the designations are listed on each product page. For individual products, classification-society approvals and certificates are available — we publish links to the official documents with the product.

Before installation or procedure qualification, always check the current certificates and data sheets on the official Magmaweld pages, or request them through an enquiry.

Selection

How to choose a product: enquiry data

You get the fastest and most accurate quotation if your enquiry states:

  1. Product designation (e.g. ESB 48) or classification (e.g. AWS E7018)
  2. The base material you are welding
  3. Process (MMA, TIG, MIG/MAG, SAW…)
  4. Diameter and packaging (for wires and electrodes)
  5. For machines: mains supply (1Ph/3Ph) and current range
  6. Quantity
  7. Delivery location

Don't have all the data? Send what you know — we will help with the selection.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Magmaweld

Where can I buy Magmaweld products in Croatia?

You can source Magmaweld products in Croatia through Summa-Chem, an authorized Magmaweld distributor. Send an enquiry through the catalogue or the contact form and we will prepare a quotation.

Which Magmaweld products does Summa-Chem offer?

We offer the Magmaweld welding-consumables programme (electrodes, MIG/MAG, TIG and flux cored wires, subarc wires and fluxes, hardfacing and brazing products) and the welding-equipment programme (MMA, TIG, MIG/MAG and SAW machines, generators, plasma cutting equipment, torches and wear parts).

Where can I find technical data for Magmaweld electrodes and wires?

On each product page in our catalogue we publish classifications (AWS, EN ISO), chemical composition, mechanical properties, welding parameters and packaging data, taken from official Magmaweld sources.

Does Summa-Chem offer Magmaweld welding machines?

Yes — the catalogue publishes the Magmaweld programme of MMA, TIG and MIG/MAG machines, SAW systems, generators and plasma cutting equipment, including torches and wear parts.

What does a designation like E7018 or E 42 3 B 42 H10 mean?

These are classification designations to the AWS/ASME and EN ISO standards describing the properties of the filler material. We list the designations for every product exactly as stated by the manufacturer.

Are prices shown?

Prices are provided by quotation. Send an enquiry with the product designation and quantity and we normally reply with a quotation within 24 hours.

How do I choose an electrode or wire for the material I am welding?

Every consumable page publishes the base-material table (EN and DIN designations) and the AWS and EN ISO classifications, so you can match the product to your own material. If you have a filler-material designation from another manufacturer, send us the classification and we will propose the equivalent Magmaweld product.

Which shielding gas, polarity and welding positions apply to a given product?

We list these on the product page exactly as Magmaweld publishes them: welding positions as PA–PG (noting where a position is restricted), polarity (e.g. DC(+)) and the shielding gas to EN ISO 14175. Where the manufacturer does not publish a value, that section is not shown.

Do the electrodes need re-drying before use?

It depends on the product. For electrodes and fluxes that require it we publish the official storage and re-drying instructions with the temperature and time stated by Magmaweld. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and the information on the packaging.

Which diameters and packaging are available?

Each product page has a variant table with product codes, diameters and lengths, piece counts and box and package weights. The enquiry form lets you select the exact variant so we can quote it directly.
