What is Oerlikon Welding?
The programme covers solid and flux-cored wires, TIG rods, stick electrodes, submerged arc wires and fluxes, ceramic backing and the CITOPULS, CITOSTEEL, CITOLINE, CITOMIG, CITOWAVE, CITOTIG, CITOARC, MINIARC and CITOCUT equipment families.
This is Oerlikon welding. It is not connected to the unrelated OC Oerlikon industrial group (surface solutions, polymer processing, additive manufacturing).
Oerlikon is a Swiss welding brand, named after the Zürich district it comes from. For decades it has been one of Europe's best-known names in stick electrodes and submerged-arc welding; today the programme is developed and manufactured within the Lincoln Electric group — keeping its own identity and its own product designations.
The catalogue counts 359 products: electrode lines such as SPEZIAL, TENAX and CITOREX, CARBOFIL MIG/MAG wires, INERTFIL TIG rods, FLUXOCORD submerged-arc combinations, and the CITOTIG and CITOPULS power sources. Technical products carry composition, mechanical properties, shielding gases to EN ISO 14175 and approvals.

Consumables
Electrodes, wires and fluxes
The consumables programme covers MMA, MIG/MAG, TIG and SAW welding. Every product lists its classifications (AWS, EN ISO), and — where the catalogue carries them — chemical composition, mechanical properties, welding currents, diameters and packaging.
Stick electrodes
The largest group of the programme: rutile, basic and special electrodes for structural, stainless and difficult-to-weld steels.
Solid and cored wires
CARBOFIL solid wires and FLUXOFIL / FLUXINOX cored wires, including self-shielded types for outdoor work.
TIG rods
The CARBOROD and INERTROD rod programme for TIG welding, with chemical composition on the product page.
SAW wires and fluxes
OE wires and OP fluxes for submerged-arc welding and electroslag strip cladding.
Equipment
Welding and cutting machines
The equipment programme is built around the CITOPULS, CITOTIG, CITOARC, CITOLINE and CITOSTEEL families — from MMA inverters to pulsed MIG/MAG systems — plus plasma cutting equipment. Technical specifications are tabled on each machine's page.
MIG/MAG and pulsed systems
CITOLINE, CITOSTEEL and pulsed CITOPULS power sources for production.
TIG machines
CITOTIG units for DC and AC/DC TIG welding.
MMA and plasma
CITOARC stick inverters and CITOCUT plasma cutting equipment.
Applications
Typical applications
- Aluminium welding, 5XXX and 6XXX series base alloys
- Galvanised and zinc-coated steel, robotic and semi-automatic welding
- Duplex and austenitic stainless steel, resistance to intergranular corrosion
- Stainless electroslag cladding
- Outdoor site welding with self-shielded wire, without shielding gas
- Plasma cutting
Standards
Classifications and standards
Products are classified to international standards such as AWS/ASME and EN ISO; the designations are listed on each product page, in their original form.
Individual products also list classification-society approvals (e.g. TÜV, DNV, ABS, LR, BV). Before procedure qualification, check the current certificates — we gladly obtain them through an enquiry.
Selection
How to choose a product: enquiry data
You get the fastest and most accurate quotation if your enquiry states:
- The product designation or classification (e.g. AWS or EN ISO)
- The base material you are welding
- Process (MMA, TIG, MIG/MAG, SAW…)
- Diameter and packaging (for wires and electrodes)
- For machines: mains supply (1Ph/3Ph) and current range
- Quantity
- Delivery location
Don't have all the data? Send what you know — we will help with the selection.
Documentation
Technical documentation
Each product page carries the technical tables: classifications, chemical composition, mechanical properties, welding currents and the versions with item numbers. If you need a data sheet, a certificate or further documentation for a specific product, request it through an enquiry and we deliver it with the quotation.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Oerlikon Welding
Is Summa-Chem an authorized distributor of Oerlikon Welding products?
Yes. Summa-Chem d.o.o. is an authorized distributor of the Oerlikon Welding programme. Send an enquiry through the catalogue or the contact form and we will prepare a quotation.
Is Oerlikon Welding related to the OC Oerlikon group?
No. Oerlikon Welding is a welding brand that operates within the Lincoln Electric group in Europe. The OC Oerlikon industrial group (surface solutions, polymer processing) is not connected to this programme.
Which Oerlikon product groups does the catalogue cover?
Stick electrodes, solid and cored wires, TIG rods, SAW wires and fluxes, ceramic weld backings, and welding and plasma cutting equipment.
How do I find the right electrode or wire?
Search the catalogue by name or classification (e.g. AWS or EN ISO), or filter by category. If you have another manufacturer's designation, send it through an enquiry and we will propose the matching Oerlikon product.
Where can I see chemical composition and mechanical properties?
On the product page: alongside the classifications there are tables of chemical composition, mechanical properties with impact energies per temperature, welding currents, and shielding gases to EN ISO 14175 — wherever the catalogue carries them for that product.
Which Oerlikon machine families are in the catalogue?
CITOPULS and CITOWAVE pulsed MIG/MAG systems, CITOLINE and CITOSTEEL MIG/MAG power sources, CITOTIG TIG machines, CITOARC MMA inverters and CITOCUT plasma cutting equipment.
How do versions (diameters and packaging) work?
The product page has a versions table with item numbers, diameters, weights and packaging. The enquiry form lets you select a diameter so the quotation is prepared for exactly that.
Are prices and availability shown?
Prices are provided by quotation. Send the product designation and quantity and we reply with a quotation and lead time, normally within 24 hours.
Can I get a data sheet or certificate for a specific product?
Yes — name the product in your enquiry and we deliver the requested documents with the quotation.
