Field of application
Welding of commercially pure zirconium as well as zirconium alloys Before welding, a chemically clean surface must be present and all oxide residues must be removed. Weldability is comparable to titanium; however, increased attention must be paid to the gas shielding, since otherwise the toughness and corrosion resistance are reduced. (preferably shielding gas chamber).
