Product description

Rutile type, heavy coated electrode for welding creep resistant steels employed in the fabrication of pressure vessels, boilers and pipes, subjected to operating temperatures of up to 570°C. Due to its rutile covering, also possible to work in alternating current (AC). Easy arc striking and restriking. Very smooth welds, blending into base metal without undercuts. For thick sections, basic covered EM 212 shall be preferred. Preheating, interpass temperature and post-weld heat treatment shall be done according to base metal used.
